Virtues Of Adhikir And Reading Of The Holy Quran
I seek refuge with the almighty Allah (SWT) from Satan, the rejected. In the name of Allah (SWT), the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful, I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah (SWT) and I bear witness that Muhammad (SWA) is His slave and His Messenger From the authority of Abu Hurairah, it was reported that he went to the market one day and said to the traders, here you are while the estate of the Prophet (PBUH) is being distributed in the mosque. The people rushed to the mosque and found nothing being shared and said to Abu Hurairah, we did not find any estate of the Prophet (PBUH) being distributed in the mosque as you claimed. Abu Hurairah then asked what did you find? They replied, we find some people embarking on dhikri while others engaged in the reading of the holy Quran.
Abu Hurairah then said, that is the heritage of the Prophet (PBUH) and his legacy.
Sufyan bin Uyainah, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with him, said when people gather for the purpose of dhikri i.e. remembrance of Allah, satan and wordly love disappear. Satan would tell the worldly love, can’t you see them remembering Allah and the worldly will respond, leave them for a while when they disperse I will get hold of them and bring them back to you.
Therefore, the servant of Allah, do not get carried away by worldly love and do not be deceived by satan.
